Issue Description : Users’ email list downloads via Threat Explorer may fail to download.
More info : Users may download email lists for a day at a time to lessen the failure probability.
Scope of impact : Your organization is affected by this event, and any user who attempts to download mailing lists from Threat Explorer is impacted.
Final Update : 26/12/2022 09:15:00 AM – Microsoft has validated, deployed, and enabled a fix for all users, and they have confirmed via their telemetry that this fix has remediated the impact.
Root Cause : A portion of the infrastructure that facilitates the Threat Explorer mailing list export process isn’t responding to requests as expected, which is resulting in download failures.
Next steps : Microsoft is reviewing their monitoring associated with the affected section of infrastructure to help them find ways to identify similar failures more efficiently in the future.
