Issue Description : Users may intermittently be unable to start Microsoft Teams live events and see an error when using hardware encoders.

More info : While Microsoft focused on remediation, users may restart the hardware encoder to potentially mitigate the problem temporarily.

Scope of impact : This issue may have intermittently affect any user attempting to start a Microsoft Teams live event when using a hardware encoder.

Final Update : 03/10/2022 09:30:00 AM – The fix addressing the code issue has completely deployed to the affected environment, and Microsoft has confirmed with affected users that impact is remediated.

Root cause : A recent Azure Media Services update to the service components that receive and manage Microsoft Teams live events contained a code issue, resulting in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft is seeking to improve their monitors and testing procedures to detect similar issues within Azure Media Services updates before they leave the test environment.
