Issue Description : Admins may be seeing stale or inaccurate data for Azure AD user reports in the Microsoft 365 admin portal.

More info : Impact was specific to Azure AD user reports starting from August 4, 2022, at 12:00 AM UTC.

Scope of impact : Any admin reviewing Azure AD user reports in the Microsoft 365 admin portal may be affected.

Final Update : 09/08/2022 10:23:00 AM – The fix deployed successfully. Microsoft has monitored the pipeline to confirm that the reports were accurate and up to date.

Root cause : An unexpected code bug is causing corrupted data in the current pipeline, resulting in the stale and incorrect data starting from Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 12:00 AM UTC.

Next steps: Microsoft will continue their code analysis to better understand what caused the corrupted data, which will help them in preventing similar issues in the future.
