Issue Description : Some users may experience general latency when accessing the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint service.

Scope of impact : Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure.
Final Update : 31/08/2022 10:37:00 AM – Microsoft has concluded the testing stage for the code fix command, and have successfully applied it to the affected infrastructure. Furthermore, they have confirmed via service monitoring telemetry that impact has been remediated.
Root cause : A recent service update containing an issue within a portion of code, introduced a spike in DNS errors which lead to impact.
Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their standard service update procedures to avoid similar impact in future.
