Issue Description : Some users are unable to automatically view new email received in Outlook on the web.
More Info : Users received a notification that they had received a new email but Outlook on the web wouldn’t display it in their mailbox. While Microsoft was focused on remediation, users may have manually refreshed the browser page to force Outlook on the web to display the new email messages. Additionally, users that have access to the Outlook desktop client could have used this as a method to automatically receive new email and bypass this problem.
Scope of impact : Your organization was affected by this event, and this issue affected some of your Outlook on the web users.
Final Update : 16/08/2022 13:25:00 PM – Microsoft has reverted a recent service update and confirmed this has remediated this issue.
Root cause : A recent service update contained a code error, resulting in impact.
Next steps : Microsoft is continuing their review of the impacting change to better understand the underlying cause and develop procedures to prevent similar impact in the future.
