Issue Description : Admins weren’t receiving DLP alerts in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal and activity explorer.

More info : Only alerts from July 26, 2022, to August 2, 2022, were unavailable. Alerts generated after August 2, 2022, were propagating as expected in the compliance portal and activity explorer following our fix for the underlying issue.

Scope of impact : Your organization was affected by this event, and any admin attempting to receive alerts from the compliance portal and activity explorer was impacted.

Final Update : 30/08/2022 09:38:00 AM – The backfill of the remaining events has completed to fully remediate the impact.

Root cause : A recent update to the codebase that facilitates DLP alerts introduced a code regression that resulted in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft is reviewing their ongoing codebase development and testing process to identify possible improvements so they can prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
