Issue Status : RESOLVED

Issue Description : Some on-premises may be unable to send or receive internal Microsoft Teams chat messages.

More info: The problem occurred in all connection methods. Some users may have also been unable to view presence information.

Scope of impact : This issue may have potentially affected any of your users attempting to send chat messages between Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business.

FInal Update : 10/06/2022 05:51:00 PM – Microsoft confirmed via monitoring that impact has been remediated.

Root cause : A recent change to authentication components contained a misconfiguration, resulting in impact.

Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing the impacting change to understand how the misconfiguration wasn’t caught during testing and validation, which will allow them to prevent similar impact in the future.
