Issue Description : Admins may be unable to generate message trace and spam detection reports from the EAC.
More info : Admins may observe the report status as being stuck in an ‘InProcess’ status. Admins may also see the same issue occur within the Security and Compliance Center (SCC) as well. The names of the reports are as follows:
– MessageTraceDetail: Message Trace Details Report
– SPAM: SPAM Detections Report
Scope of impact : Any admin attempting to view the latest status on message trace details reports and spam detection reports from the EAC or SCC may be impacted.
Final Update : 20/06/2022 09:21:00 AM – Microsoft backfilled the reporting data and have confirmed that impact is remediated via their internal telemetry.
Root cause : A recent migration of data that supports these reports isn’t properly set up for ingestion as a new data type was introduced, resulting in impact.
Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their standard configuration for data migrations to avoid conflicts with new data types in the future.
