Scope of impact : Impact may occur for any user attempting to search for SharePoint Online content.

Final Update : 27/04/2022 10:45:00 AM – Following Microsoft’s staged ranking model deployment, they have internally validated that impact has been resolved.

Root Cause : A recent service update intending to improve SharePoint Online search functionality produced a conflict within a specific SharePoint Online search component.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their update procedures to refine their understanding of the search component conflict and to better identify similar issues during their development and testing cycles.
