Information – Planned Infrastructure Upgrade

Please be aware, there is a planned infrastructure upgrade (CHG0760145) scheduled at one of our datacentres for this upcoming weekend. The work being undertaken will begin at 19:00 on Friday 25th March and will complete on Sunday 27th March. During this period, all NHSmail will be re-routed via the alternative datacentre to ensure there is zero impact on end users of the NHSmail platform. However, any remote organisations that use direct IP addresses rather than DNS to access the e-mail gateways will lose service during the upgrade activity.

If you believe that your organisation utilise direct IPs in any system configuration, please contact the NHSmail Helpdesk in advance and they will provide details on how to mitigate this change.

Although zero impact is expected, you may wish to review your service continuity plans.
