Issue Description: We are aware of an issue wherein Users are unable to start Microsoft Teams live events or are unable to view events they have joined.
Users who had joined events initiated prior to Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at 7:45 PM UTC will now see a message stating “The live event has ended” instead of the expected event content. Users may have abruptly experienced this while a live event was occurring.
Users may have also been unable to schedule or delete live events.
A workaround for live events that were already activated but not live was for all producers and presenters to leave the meeting and then rejoin.
Scope of impact: Any user starting a Microsoft Teams live event or joining a previously created event may have experienced impact.
Final Update – 27/05/2021 10:24:00 AM: Microsoft have identified that an authentication configuration problem is preventing user connections to events. Microsoft have developed and deployed a fix for this configuration issue and after monitoring telemetry, confirmed that the issue is now fully resolved.
