Issue Description: Users may see a greyed out ‘hold’ button in 1:1 calls using the Microsoft Teams desktop and web clients.

More info: Impact is specific to users that have already placed a call on ‘hold’ and ‘resumed’ that call, subsequent hold attempts may fail.

Current Update: 06/04/2026 08:59:00 AM–Microsoft has identified an unrelated issue is delaying the release of the fix. They expect to have a release timeline by the next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to place a call on for a second time from the Microsoft Teams desktop or web clients may be affected.

Root cause: A regression introduced within a recent client update is resulting in impact.
