Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users may have been unable to create new interactions with specific Copilot bots.

More info: Impacted bots included any in Microsoft Teams that had an authentication configuration defined such as:

– Facilitator
– Project Agent
– Frontline Attendee
– Mainline Attendee
– Chat Agent

Users who had already interacted with affected bots weren’t impacted by this issue. Only new interactions were impacted.

Final Update: 20/03/2026 08:34:00 AM – Microsoft has completed their monitoring of service availability and have confirmed impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: This incident impacted some users who interacted with specific Copilot bots, who saw new interactions that failed due to authentication failures.

Next Steps: Microsoft are analyzing the offending deployment to isolate why the potential for impact wasn’t caught during their update testing and validation phases. This analysis will help us to improve their update testing standards moving forward to ensure similar impact scenarios don’t occur in the future.
