NHSmail Reference: INC46736453
Microsoft Reference: TM1223735
Issue Status: ONGOING
Issue Description: Microsoft Teams meeting participants may not be granted permissions to meeting notes added after meeting creation.
More info: When users add meeting notes from the Microsoft Teams Calendar to a meeting that has already been created, the meeting participants may not be granted permissions to view the notes, while the user that added the notes may be able to access them as expected.
Impact may occur when the admins have enabled the Specific People Link (SPL) policy.
Current Update: 30/01/2026 09:08:00 AM – Microsoft are continuing their attempts to reproduce the issue in their test environment to better understand the root cause and next steps. While their remediation efforts are ongoing, users can workaround this issue for single instances by updating anything in the title or body of the event. This only remediates impact for the single meeting, and editing each meeting title for any reoccurring meeting is required, if editing a series event.
Scope of impact: Microsoft Teams meeting participants attempting to view meeting notes that were added after meeting creation may be impacted.
Root cause: A latent code misconfiguration is causing the impact.
