Issue Description: Users may be unable to add members to or remove members from distribution groups within Outlook on the web.

More info: Affected admins and distribution group owners will see that the add or remove member option is greyed out.

Final Update: 13/09/2024 08:28:00 AM – Microsoft have successfully reverted the change and confirmed through telemetry and feedback from some affected users that the impact has been resolved.

Scope of impact: Some admins or distribution group owners attempting to add members to or remove members from distribution groups within Outlook on the web may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent configuration change within the Outlook on the web code base responsible for adding or removing members to or from distribution groups introduced an error that’s leading to impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their configuration change procedures to help prevent similar problems in the future.
