If an organisation is using any of the following base licenses with one of the Microsoft Windows 365 Enterprise add on licenses, a tooltip will inform the admin to turn on the “Windows 10/11 Enterprise (Original)” application listed under the base license: National Microsoft 365 E3, Local Microsoft 365 E3 or Local Microsoft 365 E5.

If an organisation is using a locally purchased Microsoft 365 F3 with one of the Microsoft Windows 365 Enterprise add on licenses, a tooltip will inform the admin to turn on the “Windows 10 Enterprise (Local Only)” application listed under the base license.

  • 87700: Enable the Windows 10/11 Enterprise Application

This PBI introduces an application toggle “Windows 10/11 Enterprise (Original)” to both local and national Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 base licenses. By default, this application toggle will be turned off, but Local Admins can edit this when creating or updating user policies.

Notifications are added to an Azure message queue and will be triggered for the below scenarios:

  • When a new user policy is created with one of the Windows 365 licenses applied.
  • When an existing user policy is updated to have a Windows 365 license applied.
