Issue Description: Some users may observe delays when receiving Microsoft Defender for Endpoint alerts.

Final Update: 17/06/2024 13:10:00 PM – Microsoft have determined that an unexpected code regression, identified in a section of infrastructure responsible for regulating the affected scenarios, was responsible for causing impact. They”ve developed and applied a manual fix to address the code issue, and confirmed following a monitoring period that impact has been remediated.
Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure in Europe.
Root cause: A recent behavioral change implemented within the Exchange Online data pathways used to facilitate spam reports to affected users’ anti-spam service introduced an error that’s leading to impact.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing the code regression details to understand how it was introduced and why it caused impact, in order to help prevent similar impact from happening again in the future.
