Issue Description : Some users may be unable to paste Excel tables into Outlook on the web email messages.
More Information : Initial testing indicates that the issue only occurs when utilizing the CTRL+V pasting shortcut. Therefore, affected users may be able to circumvent impact by right clicking and pasting Excel tables into emails manually.
Final Update : 28/04/2023 11:08:00 AM – Microsoft have validated and applied the code fix to all affected environments, and they have verified with affected users that this fix has successfully resolved the problem.
Scope of impact : Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure attempting to paste Excel tables into Outlook on the web emails.
Root cause: A recent feature update that was intended to improve custom context menus that appeared after right-click mouse movements had introduced an impacting code bug.
Next steps : – Microsoft are investigating how the recent feature update that was intended to improve custom context menus that appeared after right-click mouse movements introduced an impacting code bug to prevent this problem from happening again. – Microsoft are also assessing why impact wasn’t identified prior to deploying the impacting update so that we can improve our update testing practices.
