Issue Description : Some users may be unable to paste Excel tables into Outlook on the web email messages.

More Information : Initial testing indicates that the issue only occurs when utilizing the CTRL+V pasting shortcut. Therefore, affected users may be able to circumvent impact by right clicking and pasting Excel tables into emails manually.

Final Update : 28/04/2023 11:08:00 AM – Microsoft have validated and applied the code fix to all affected environments, and they have verified with affected users that this fix has successfully resolved the problem.

Scope of impact : Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure attempting to paste Excel tables into Outlook on the web emails.

Root cause: A recent feature update that was intended to improve custom context menus that appeared after right-click mouse movements had introduced an impacting code bug.Next steps :– Microsoft are investigating how the recent feature update that was intended to improve custom context menus that appeared after right-click mouse movements introduced an impacting code bug to prevent this problem from happening again.– Microsoft are also assessing why impact wasn’t identified prior to deploying the impacting update so that we can improve our update testing practices.
