20/02/2023 08:10:00 AM (GMT)
NHSmail Reference : INC34382351
Microsoft Reference : MM515856
Issue Status : RESOLVED
Issue Description : Users couldn’t run apps with custom commands after making edits to the Microsoft Power Apps commanding library.
More info : When launching apps, users may have seen the error message, “There was an error retrieving your formula. Please make sure your formula has no errors.”
While Microsoft were focused on remediation, affected users could have republished impacted apps to expedite the process and restore service.
Scope of impact : Your organization was affected by this event, and any user who attempted to launch apps with custom commands after making any edits to the commanding library was impacted.
Final Update : 20/02/2023 08:10:00 AM – Microsoft have identified and republished all remaining apps that needed to be addressed for full remediation and they’ve verified with some affected users that this has resolved the issue. They recommend that users should clear their browser cache and refresh if they’re still experiencing impact to allow remediation to take effect.
Root Cause : A recent update, to enhance the way in which host information is passed within the apps, resulted in a regression that caused a dependent script in the process of running apps with custom commands to fail, which resulted in impact.
Next steps : Microsoft are reviewing their service update procedures so they can better identify similar issues during their testing and development cycles and avoid comparable impact in the future.
