NHSmail Reference: INC46731526

Issue Status: ONGOING
Issue Description: Users can’t perform the “Update from Git” operation in Microsoft Fabric.
More info: Specifically, users whose workspaces are connected to Git are affected, and the update operation fails if the Git repository contains a data pipeline artifact which is dependent on a data warehouse artifact. This dependency prevents the update process from completing successfully.
As a workaround, affected users can follow these steps to successfully perform the “Update from Git” operation:
1. Add the following properties in the pipeline-content.json file after the type property for each of the activities using warehouse:
“state”: “Inactive”,
“onInactiveMarkAs”: “Succeeded”,
2. Save this change, then connect the branch to a workspace.
3. Perform a sync
Current Update: 23/01/2026 07:42:00 AM – Microsoft are continuing our internal testing to confirm the suspected change is the root cause of impact and determine the best path forward to resolve the issue.
