Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users may be unable to utilize avatar and video filtering features in Microsoft Teams for Mac.

Final Update: 28/05/2025 08:52:00 AM – The fix has finished deploying, and after a period of monitoring, Microsoft have confirmed impact was remediated.

Scope of impact: This issue may affect any user utilizing Microsoft Teams for Mac.

Root cause: As a result of TM1047137, they have disabled the avatar and video filtering features in Microsoft Teams for Mac to resolve crashes which were previously occurring for users.

Next Steps: Microsoft’s help prevent similar impact in the future, they are further reviewing their deployment release procedures to identify code compatibility issues before being released.
