Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users are unable to access a classic experience library containing video files in SharePoint Online.

More info: Users with read permissions may encounter an access denied error when accessing a classic experience library containing video files.

As a workaround, switching to the modern experience or removing video files from the library allows users with read permissions to regain access.

Final Update: 14/07/2025 09:20:00 AM – Microsoft have completed restarting the impacted infrastructure and confirmed that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: This issue may affect some users attempting to access a classic experience library containing video files is impacted.

Root cause: A recent standard service update is inadvertently causing impact to occur.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their update procedures to help prevent the issue from reoccurring.
