Issue Description: Some users intermittently experience latency when opening gen2 and gen2.1 reports in Microsoft Fabric.

Final Update: 09/04/2026 09:12:00 AM–Microsoft has successfully reverted the change and confirmed after a period of monitoring service health, that the issue has been remediated.
Scope of impact: Some users hosted on the affected infrastructure may experience intermittent latency when opening gen2 and gen2.1 reports in Microsoft Fabric. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.
Root cause: A recent change introduced a code regression that caused networking problems between the service infrastructure that facilitates opening the affected reports that’s leading to the impact.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their update procedures to better identify similar issues during our development and testing cycles.
