Issue Description: : Some users attempting to export Power BI reports into .pdf or .pptx format encounter intermittent failures.

Final Update: 07/04/2026 08:50:00 AM– Microsoft rollback of the offending service update has completed for all impacted regions, and they have confirmed with a subset of previously affected users that their actions successfully remediated impact.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and some users attempting to export Power BI reports into .pdf or .pptx format are impacted. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.

Root cause: A service update introduced a problematic scenario within the request flow leveraged for the export of Power BI in some cases involving longer or more complex reports being processed into .pdf or .pptx format, resulting in impact.

Next Steps: Microsoft are analyzing the offending service update to determine why the potential for impact wasn’t caught during our internal update testing and validation phases. This analysis will help us to improve their update testing standards moving forward to ensure similar impact scenarios don’t occur in the future.
