Issue Description: Users can’t choose a focus area in Microsoft Viva Glint

More info: This only affects users who don’t have “manage surveys” access or permission.

Final Update: 25/02/2025 08:42:00 AM – Following our completed fix deployment, our internal service telemetry has verified that the introduced data routing misconfiguration has been addressed, and that the impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and users who don’t have manage surveys access are affected and won’t be able to chose a focus area in Microsoft Viva Glint.

Root cause: A data routing misconfiguration was introduced in a recent update that prevented users without “manage survey” access from being unable to select a focus area in Viva Glint.

Next steps: Microsoft are further analysing the offending update that introduced the data routing problems to help us improve our pre-deployment testing and validation process, so we can prevent similar problems in the future.
