Issue Description: Users may intermittently see a red border after screensharing has been stopped in Microsoft Teams.
More info: This specifically affects users of the Microsoft Teams version 26005.204.4249.1621.
Current Update: 29/01/2026 08:32:00 AM – Microsoft have completed the deployment of our code solution and confirmed through monitoring service health telemetry that the impact is remediated for users who update to the latest version of Microsoft Teams..
Root cause: A recent service library update introduced a code regression that’s resulting in users intermittently seeing a red border after screensharing has been stopped in Microsoft Teams.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing our update procedures to understand why impact to screensharing functionality wasn’t caught during the testing phase. This will allow us to drive service improvements by proactively identifying similar issues in the future and improve our update testing processes
