Issue Description: Users can’t connect to meetings, place calls, or perform other actions in Microsoft Teams

More info: Users were unable to join meetings, create meetings, make or receive calls, or perform any actions in Microsoft Teams.

Final Update: 09/01/2026 08:51:00 AM – Microsoft has identified that connection failures to the portion of infrastructure that facilitates Microsoft Teams requests resulted in impact. To mitigate impact to affected users, their Teams traffic was moved to healthy portions of infrastructure, and they confirmed through service health telemetry that this restored Teams functionality for them.

Next Steps: Microsoft are further investigating the affected portion of infrastructure and network components to determine why this problem occurred and they are also reviewing their automated service recovery and resiliency mechanisms to understand how to more quickly detect and fix issues such as this.
