Issue Description: Some of users’ Android devices may have become non-compliant, preventing access to any Microsoft mobile service.
More Info: This may have impacted any Microsoft mobile service protected by App Protection Policies.
Admins could have disabled strong integrity and removed the strong integrity conditional launch check on app protection policies to prevent their devices from being marked as non-compliant
Final Update: 22/05/2025 08:50:00 AM – Microsoft have completed the deployment of their code change fix to all impacted portions of infrastructure and confirmed through their telemetry that impact has been resolved.
Scope of impact: Some users attempting to access Microsoft services from Android devices with strong integrity enabled may have been impacted.
Root cause: A recent update to the Android platform contained a change to the device compliance calculation, which caused Android devices with strong integrity enabled to become non-compliant and resulted in impact.
Next steps: : Microsoft reviewing the impacted service infrastructure to understand what changes can be made to detect issues sooner and prevent similar impact in the future.
