Issue Description: Users intermittently may not have received responses for their prompts in Copilot.
More info: Users may have received an error stating “Something went wrong” when a response failed to generate. Requests that were successful may have completed more slowly than usual.
Current Update: 02/12/2025 09:01:00 AM – Microsoft have completed the rebalancing of traffic across alternate infrastructure and confirmed from their internal monitoring data that processing rates improved, remediating impact.
Scope of impact: Some users prompting Copilot may have been intermittently impacted. Telemetry suggests that around 16 percent of requests were affected.
Root cause: The infrastructure that facilitated responses to prompts in Copilot wasn’t processing requests as efficiently as expected, resulting in impact.
Next Steps: Microsoft are reviewing the affected infrastructure to determine what caused the processing inefficiency, allowing us to create a long-term fix and incorporate measures that will prevent impact in the future.
