Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users couldn’t access the Threat Analytics page in Microsoft Defender XDR portal.

Current Update: 23/01/2026 07:24:00 AM – Microsoft have determined that an improperly configured infrastructure update prevented users from having the necessary permissions to access the Threat Analytics page in the Microsoft Defender XDR portal. They have reverted this change and confirmed using our internal telemetry that impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to access the Threat Analytics page in the Microsoft Defender XDR portal may have been impacted.

Root cause: An improperly configured infrastructure update prevented users from having the necessary permissions to access the Threat Analytics page in the Microsoft Defender XDR portal.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing and improving our infrastructure update validation procedure to detect and prevent similar misconfigurations in the future.
