Issue Description: Users may see issues with their templated subscription email in Power BI.

More info: Specifically, users may observe that the subscription email template has been altered due to a change rolled out altering the template format.

Customers may see additional revisions to this template in the future and it is recommended to update processes to be resilient to these changes. They apologise for the disruption this change has caused. Future updates to this template will be communicated with notice so users can update their processes appropriately.

Final Update: 03/02/2026 08:36:00 AM –Microsoft has completed reverting the template to it’s previous default state, and after a period of monitoring, they have confirmed impact was remediated.

Scope of impact: Users leveraging templated subscription emails in Power BI may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent change altering the subscription email template for Power BI affected users’ existing subscription email templates.

Next steps: To help prevent similar impact in the future, we’re further reviewing our change release procedures to identify issues before being released.
