Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users may experience search delays and some search results may not include all expected results.

More info: Users may not see the gear icon to open the Settings pane on some SharePoint Online sites, and users may not be able to conduct searches on some sites via the search box.

Final Update: 13/05/2025 08:30:00 AM – Microsoft have determined that their fix deployment is nearing full saturation and our telemetry confirms that this issue is resolved.

Scope of impact: Some users attempting to use search functionality utilizing any connection method may experience delays and some of the results receive may not include all expected results.

Root cause: A recent deployment contained a coding issue, which is resulting in the impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their validation and updating procedures to better detect and prevent issues like this prior to deployment in the future.
