Issue Description: O365 Privacy Notifications may be duplicated or intermittently fail to send.

Current Update: 30/01/2026 10:00 AM – We have continued to monitor the Service Bus queues and the issuing of Privacy Notifications since the initial spike experienced on Monday 26th January. No further recurrence of the issue has been seen and we continue to see the function operate as expected. Collaborative investigation with Microsoft has also failed to identify a root cause and all logging shows the service to be healthy and fully operational.

For additional clarity, Privacy Notifications are triggered when an organisation changes the privacy settings of an MS Teams Channel or MS SharePoint site from Private to Public, and are intended to ensure that organisations understand the implications of making this change. Given the lack of recurrence, and the gap between the initial incident and today, we are closing this ticket. The issue appears to be a transient one and will be investigated again thoroughly should it reoccur in the future.
