Issue Description: SharePoint Online column filter is not working as expected.

More info: When filling out the list/library column filter text box after typing the first letter the first matching term automatically auto-fills, requiring the users to delete the auto-fill if they want to select another term. It also affects Managed Metadata / Taxonomy columns.

Final Update: 25/03/2025 08:40:00 AM – Microsoft’s have deployed a new build that reverses the offending change, and they confirmed through internal testing that the impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure.

Root cause: A regression in the filter pane component is causing impact to occur.

Next update by: Microsoft are reviewing their service update testing and validation procedures to identify and prevent similar regressions in deployments moving forward.
