Information – Potential Mail Delivery Issue

Issue Description: We have identified an issue which will have impacted a subset of users. This issue will only have impacted mails sent to an nhs.uk address from external domain and will have resulted in a Non-Delivery Receipt (NDR) response delivered to the Sender. This issue will have impacted a subset of inbound traffic only and only mails with a target recipient mailbox on the nhs.uk domain. Any nhs.uk organisation on their own local 365 tenant would also not have been impacted.

Current Update: 13/09/2024 18:00:00 PM – NHSmail engineers have identified the root cause and taken action to resolve it this evening. Internal testing has validated that the fix has been successful and we have had confirmation from end users too.
