Issue Description: Users can’t sign into any Microsoft 365 service using their LinkedIn account.

Final Update: 02/09/2024 08:43:00 AM – Microsoft have confirmed after a period of monitoring that impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Your organization was affected by this event, and any user attempting to sign into any Microsoft 365 service using their LinkedIn account was impacted.

Root cause: A recent authentication update contained a change in the sign-in process for Microsoft 365 services that prevented sign-in using LinkedIn accounts, resulting in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their authentication update validation procedures to improve the detection of similar issues before they cause future impact.
