Issue Description : Users may have been unable to send GIFs or delete messages and threads via any Microsoft Teams connection method.

Scope of impact : Any user utilizing default messaging and meeting policies may have been impacted by this event.

Final Update : 16/11/2022 13:00:00 PM – Microsoft has confirmed with some formerly affected users and through monitoring telemetry that the previously affected Microsoft Teams functionalities are now restored for all users, regardless of whether workarounds were employed as a temporary mitigation.

Root Cause : A recent update introduced a policy configuration issue that’s causing this problem.

Next steps : Microsoft is assessing their update testing methodology to ensure policy configuration issues aren’t introduced in future updates.
