Issue Description: Users are unable to delete email from shared mailboxes or folders in Outlook on the web.
More info: While we’re focused on remediation, users who have access to the Outlook desktop client may be able to use this client to delete email from shared mailboxes or folders.
Scope of Impact : This issue may affect any user attempting to delete email from any shared mailbox or folder.
Final Update: 24/03/2022 04:11:00 PM – Microsoft confirmed through internal testing and reports from affected users that their fix deployment has resolved the issue.
Root cause : A recent deployment introduced a code issue affecting a specific read/write query that’s leveraged when deleting email from shared mailboxes.
