Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description : Users with solutions packages were unable to access some SharePoint Online sites, site features, and files. Final status: Subsequent to its deployment, we’ve confirmed with some users that the joblet has successfully restored functionality.

Scope of impact: Any user with solution packages attempting to access affected SharePoint Online sites, site features, and files was impacted.

Start time: Saturday, January 15, 2022, 7:00 AM (7:00 AM UTC)

Root cause: A recent update to service components that facilitate SharePoint Online solution package deployments contained an issue affecting solutions updated by a checked-out user.

Next steps: We’re reviewing our service component update procedures to help us better understand the context in which this issue was revealed so we can more quickly respond to similar issues in the future. – We’re continuing our efforts to implement a long-term fix to prevent future impact. This is the final update for the event.
