With AI Builder, a Microsoft Power Platform feature, you can create and use AI models that optimize your business processes. You can either use a prebuilt model that is ready for many common business scenarios or create a custom model that meets your needs. AI Builder helps your business to automate processes and gain insights from your data in Power Apps and Power Automate.
Licensing:
Local organisations are responsible for managing their AI Builder usage consumption, this is essential for resource optimisation and cost control.
Leveraging these insights allows organisations to ensure efficient purchase and allocation of credits, monitor and manage costs, and make informed budgeting decisions to maximise the value of their AI Builder investments.
1. Estimate Your Required Credits and Procure Licenses
a. Use Microsoft’s AI Builder Capability Rate table to estimate how many credits your organisation will need based on your expected usage.
b. Procure Licensing: Your organisation will need to procure Licenses through your License Service Provider (LSP). The required licensing type is Copilot Credit pack
2. Request Credit Allocation
a. Once the licensing has been procured, a Local Administrator should complete the Licence Onboarding Form via Helpdesk self service.
b. Once on the homepage of Helpdesk Self-Service, choose Raise a Request.
c. Navigate to the Licence Onboarding form, and click ‘Add’ in the ‘Select Licence’ field to add Copilot Credit Packs.
d. Fill in the environment allocation field. Copilot Credit Packs need to be allocated to a dedicated environment to be properly onboarded
e. Fill in the remaining fields within the form and submit the request
f. Once your licences are onboarded, you will receive email confirmation of ticket completion/closure.
AI Builder Consumption
Organisations will only be able to consume Copilot Credits that are assigned to their environments, which means that any Power Automate flows leveraging AI builder credits may be interrupted if that monthly credits are exhausted. If additional credits are required, organisations can purchase Copilot Studio Credit packs. Credit consumption is reset each month, the amount of Copilot Credits to purchase and/or allocate should only be enough to cover the maximum consumption you expect in a single month. Unused Copilot Credits don’t roll over to the next month.
