Issue Description: Users may have been unable to view profile information for other users in Microsoft Teams.

More info: Affected users may have seen “Unknown User” in place of names, and may also have been unable to find people using search in Microsoft Teams.

Final Update: 23/09/2025 09:43:00 AM – While Microsoft were in the process of analyzing service monitoring telemetry to isolate the source of the issue and establish a fix, system monitoring indicated that the service had returned to normal health. They have confirmed that the issue is no longer occurring and they will continue to monitor the service to ensure that the problem does not happen again.

Scope of impact: Impact was specific to some users attempting to view profile information for other users in Microsoft Teams.
