INC46505445 – Mutifactor Authentication – Certificate Verification Error – RESOLVED
23/04/2025 12:30:00 PM
Issue Status: RESOLVED
NHS.net Connect Reference: INC46505445
Issue Description: We aware of some users receiving a “certificate verification error” message after being prompted to choose a certificate to verify their identity as part of setting up MFA on their account.
Final Update: 24/04/2025 12:05:00 PM – The Accenture team have analysed the MFA configuration currently in place on the NHS.net O365 tenant and have identified no issues. With regards to the “Certificate Verification Error” that some users are observing, this indicates that a registered Smart Card has not been presented to allow the MFA re-enrolment process to continue. Users should ensure they are able to present their Smart Card when re-enrolling for MFA which will allow the process to successfully complete.
