Issue Description: Users may be unable to search or see recommendations in multiple Microsoft 365 services.

More info: Impacted services include but aren’t limited to:
– Outlook on the web and desktop client
– Microsoft Teams
– OneDrive for Business
– SharePoint Online

Current Update: 25/03/2025 08:46:00 AM – Microsoft have confirmed through their deployment telemetry that the fix has reached all remaining affected users and the impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure.

Root cause: Processing components responsible for regulating functionality related to search and suggestions in multiple Microsoft 365 services are operating below acceptable thresholds due to an unexpected increase in inbound request traffic.

Next steps: Microsoft are continuing to review the affected processing components to determine the cause for the increased request traffic, so that they can prevent similar impact from occurring in the future.
