Manning Release – Content Summary
The NHSmail Portal release is named in honour of Dr Joseph Manning, Clinical Associate Professor in Children and Young People Nursing at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, who was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours (2021) for his services to nursing.

VN162 Functionality
- 80099: Add a Self-Service Button to set the Account Secret
This PBI introduces a self-service button to set an account secret under the My Profile section. This will be available to users with security questions and answers configured, enabling to set an account secret within a pop-up dialog after selecting the button. The button will be disabled for users who have an account secret set and instead present them with a tooltip: “Your account secret has already been set, please contact your LA for more information”.
VN180 Functionality
- 84871: Add Teams Premium (Full) License to the NHSmail Portal
This PBI will introduce Teams Premium as a supported add-on license on the NHSmail Portal. This license type will be available for organisations to onboard locally and assign to users through user policies. When selecting this add-on license, no application toggles will be displayed in the user interface; all application settings will be enabled by default in the O365 Tenant.
Portal AD Functionality – Product Backlog Items
- 86580: Enable EXO Create
This PBI will update the feature flag to enable Exchange Online Mailbox creations for user, shared and resource mailboxes. These mailbox types will no longer go through a migration process and instead be directly created in Exchange Online.
- 82529: AUP Accepted Date/Time Field
This PBI introduces a field under the “Status” section of “User Details” page called “AUP Accepted On”. It will be listed under the current AUP field and display the date when a newly created user has accepted the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The value will show as blank for users who haven’t accepted the AUP or users who have accepted the AUP prior to this change.
The AUP accepted date and time can also be viewed by Local Administrators via the audit logs under the audit action “User updated their profile.”
- 82530: Include AUP Accepted Date/Timestamp in Mailbox Report & MFA Status Report
This PBI, introduces the column “AUPAcceptedOn” in the Mailbox Report and MFAStatus Report. Values in this column will either display the date a user accepted AUP or remain blank. Blank entries indicate a user has not accepted the AUP or accepted it before this change.
- 82921: Enhance the MFA Status report
This PBI introduces the following information in the MFAStatus Report:

- ParentOrganisation – If an organisation has a parent organisation, the name of the parent will be displayed. Otherwise, the value will be shown as NULL.
- ParentOrganisationODSCode – If an organisation has a parent organisation, the ODS code of the parent will be displayed. Otherwise, the value will be shown as NULL.
- FIDO2Registered – Users who have a FIDO2 authentication method configured, will have a value of TRUE. Otherwise, the value will be shown as FALSE.
- SmartcardRegistered – Users who have a smartcard registered against, will have a value of TRUE. Otherwise, the value will be shown as FALSE.
- 78236: New MFA columns in Mailbox Report
This PBI will introduce two additional columns in the Mailbox Report:

- MFAAuthenticationType
- 81771: Increase Teams Phone System Admin Roles limit
This PBI increases the number of Phone System administrator roles that an organisation can allocate from 5 to 10.
- 80910: Disable Teams 1:1 Meeting Call Recording for Phone System Based User Policies
As part of this PBI, when Phone System capabilities are applied to a user policy, the application settings toggle “Teams 1:1 Meeting Call Recording” will be switched ON and unable to be switched OFF. This behaviour is applied when creating and updating user policies.
Phone System capabilities can either be applied when the following base licenses have the Phone System toggle enabled:

- Office 365 Enterprise E5
- Microsoft 365 E5
Or it can be applied when any base license is selected with either of the following add-on licenses:

- Teams Phone with calling plan
- Phone System Per User
Portal AD Functionality – Bug Fixes
- 81366: When users with Phone system license are updated via portal, the Phone system licenses are removed from user.
As part of this bug fix, updates to users will not remove the phone system licenses.
- 86194: Creation of policy with name length more than 50 and less than 64 characters fails to insert in Portal DB.
This bug fix ensures user policies can be created when the name length is more than 50 characters and less than 64 characters.
