Issue Description: Users may be unable to schedule Outlook calendar meetings or appointments from Copilot Chat.

More info: When users prompt Copilot Chat to schedule a meeting or appointment, the meeting or appointment may not be created, and Copilot Chat provides an error that states, “I ran into an issue while trying to finalize the meeting booking – it didn’t go through due to a system error.”

Current Update: 09/06/2026 10:56:00 AM – Microsoft are continuing to validate and test the effectiveness of their fix to revert the offending change, and more time is needed to ensure all validations are complete before they start the reversion process.

Scope of impact: Any user prompting Copilot Chat to schedule a meeting or appointment may be impacted. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.

Root cause: A recent service change designed to update the confirmation card provided by Copilot Chat when scheduling meetings or appointments is causing impact.
